- Question: Can you please clarify the type of Internet service being requested on this RFP for Hui No Ke Ola Pono? Will you require symmetrical or asymmetrical service for the Wailuku office?
Answer: Asymmetrical bandwidth was inadvetantley requested. For Wailuku the RFP should read:
“Vendor shall provide pricing for all available symmetrical bandwidth increments from 25 to 200 Mbps”.
“Vendor shall provide pricing for all available symmetrical bandwidth increments from 3 to 200 Mbps”.

Question: The RFP says for the Wailuku location, “Vendor shall provide pricing for all available asymmetrical bandwidth increments from 25 to 200 Mbps symmetrical”.
It also says “Vendor shall provide pricing for all available asymmetrical bandwidth increments from 3 to 200 Mbps symmetrical”.
Why are their 2 different bandwidth ranges requested? Is this RFP for a separate service then the Fiber Internet Access Service that we already provide to the Wailuku office?
Answer: Hui No Ke Ola Pono currently has 2 seperate internet connections at Wailuku for diversity and would like to explore pricing for additional bandwidth. -
Question: We are able to provide asymmetrical Internet bandwidth over coaxial cable using cable modems and symmetrical Internet bandwidth over fiber optic cable. Since we don’t have symmetrical bandwidth available in Hana over Fiber, do you want a quote for asymmetrical bandwidths over coaxial cable?
Answer: For Hana pricing for Asymmetrical internet access is acceptable provided that both upload and download exceed 3 Mbps.
