  • Question:What applications is Community Health Centers of Western Kentucky currently using the WAN now? Are there any additional applications planned for future use?
    Answer: Video Conferencing, Imaging, EHR/Practice Management, Email, Accounting, Communications Portal, Remote Desktop Connection. No changes planned at this time.
  • Question: Where are the resources or servers located?
    Answer: 480 Hopkinsville Street
  • Question: Does Community Health Centers of Western Kentucky have any Cloud-based applications they are using today or plan to implement in the future? If so, please, explain further.
    Answer: No cloud services are used and there are no plans for cloud services at this time.
  • Question: We assume all Community Health Centers of Western Kentucky Premise Equipment including Routers will be provided and supported by Community Health Centers of Western Kentucky.
    Answer: The CHCWK CE will be a layer 3 device managed by CHCWK.
  • Question: Please, advise if any ports 100M and below need to be provided via a fiber handoff and the specific fiber handoff requirements, single-mode or multi-mode and wavelength.
    Answer: Fiber handoff not required.
  • Question: Are there any locations where the Community Health Centers of Western Kentucky Premise Router will be beyond 328ft from the MPOE?
    Answer: No
  • Question: Please, advise for port speeds above 100M the specific fiber handoff requirements, single-mode or multi-mode and wavelength
    Answer: Fiber handoff not required.
  • Question: We assume Community Health Centers of Western Kentucky required Internet access shall be provided via the private MPLS network through a Network-based Firewall managed by the Provider.
    Answer: Correct.
  • Question: What specifically are Community Health Centers of Western Kentucky IPV6 requirements? What network will IPv6 be implemented on WAN, Internet, or both?
    Answer: In an effort to future proof the network CHCWK prefers the vendor network support IPv6 but does not currently plan on implementing it.
  • Question: Do the users need desktop phones? At this time, we assumes Softphone client is fine for all users.
    Answer: Please provide pricing options for recommended desktop phones as well as softphone client.
  • Question: If a desktop phone is needed, please, provide further details, features, number of devices, etc.
    Answer: Please provide pricing breakdown for all features available. Additional questions may be asked during the evaluation phase of the process. If required assume 15 – 30 desktop phones per location.
  • Question: If a desktop phone is needed, We assume the local infrastructure cabling will support IP phones.

    Answer: Please provide pricing per instance of this feature. Exact requirements to be discussed during contract negotiations.
  • Question: Do any users need desktop application sharing?
    Answer: Please provide QoS Profile options for protecting traffic using DSCP tags. CHCWK will tag traffic appropriately.
  • Question: Do any users need support for Video Conferencing?
    Answer: Please provide QoS Profile options for protecting traffic using DSCP tags. CHCWK will tag traffic appropriately.
  • Question: Are there Faxing requirements? If so, please provide additional details specific to the application and Equipment platform.
    Answer: CHCWK does require the ability to Fax. Details relating to faxing will be discussed during contract negotiations.
  • Question: Are there Overhead Paging requirements? If so, please provide additional details specific to the application and Equipment platform.
    Answer: Overhead paging is outside the scope of this RFP.
  • Question: RFP Verbiage . "The consortium network is currently a combination of older and newer technologies that are being used to efficiently and cost-effectively interconnect the member HCP’s. Going forward, KTC anticipates that some combination of older and newer technologies will be used to efficiently and cost-effectively interconnect the member HCP’s. KTC continues to implement a network that will permit interconnection of various networks that may be on different technology platforms. The consortium wants to ensure that the strategy underlying this project permits for scalability and evolution to a future vision of improved collaboration and information sharing between healthcare providers.” i. What are the older and newer technologies reference in this information?
    Answer: The technologies used within KTC can be referenced on USACs websites by reviewing the various KTC RFPs that exist there. Those RFPs are outside the scope of KTC-RFP15 which is specifically requesting services at 4 KTC sites.
  • Question: What are the Community Health Centers of Western Kentucky’s expectation in integrations with the current proposed solution?
    Answer: Anything outside the 4 sites listed in this RFP is outside the scope of thisRFP.
  • Question: “The network will provide for the flexibility to integrate new technologies as they emerge and will be capable of scaling as bandwidth needs increase. It will create new telemedicine opportunities, permitting remote treatment, reducing travel requirements, and providing a less-stressful and better overall experience for both patients and healthcare practitioners.” i. Does Community Health Centers of Western Kentucky currently implement Telemedicing applications? If so, please elaborate?
    Answer: Currently CHCWK uses EHR, Video Conferencing, and PACS applications
  • Question: What are the Community Health Centers of Western Kentucky’s expectation in integrations with the current proposed solution?
    Answer: CHCWK expects a network that is scalable and allows for future growth such that connections to other KTC members is possible in the future.
  • Question: The Design refers to a “Provide Edge” device supporting circuits ranging from 10M to 50M. We assume this illustrates the Community Health Centers of Western Kentucky terminating port on the Provider Network Edge device.
    Answer: Correct
  • Question: The location CHCWK Logan County Site 1497 Nashville Road Russellville KY 42276 HCP# 42797” refers to seeking a 20M to 200M port speed, but is illustrated as a 10M port in the Design. Does this site need a quote for additionally 10M?
    Answer: Please provide pricing for 10 Mbps to 200 Mbps.
